I love our community, and I'm proud to call Tumwater home. I’ve spent my entire adult life in public service and have worked on important issues like improving our aged transportation infrastructure, addressing the crisis of those who are unhoused, the opioid epidemic, and most recently, removing barriers to higher education for marginalized communities.
When I moved to Tumwater 15 years ago as a newly single mom of three, I was looking for an affordable place to live that was close to where I worked. What I found was a community and a hometown for me and my children.
What Tumwater gave to me during a low period of my life has inspired me to want to give back. I am passionate about making a difference and serving my community. My experience as a public servant and in community service has prepared me for the role of council member. I am dedicated to ensuring that Tumwater remains a city we can all be proud of.
I will continue building strong community relationships – it is one of my top priorities. Communication is key between the council and citizens to ensure everyone has a voice in the decisions that affect them. By working together, we can continue making Tumwater a model city in our state.
As a member of your city council, I will be diligent in making sure our city continues to thrive while remaining an affordable, safe and livable community where all are welcome.
